Interfaith dialogue and Youth work

Interfaith dialogue can be challenging for youth workers, who may fear offending others or appearing biased when discussing religion. However, addressing religion in non-formal education is vital for promoting diverse worldviews among young people. To support this, the training course "Interfaith Dialogue and Youth Work" will unite youth workers to explore concepts and enhance skills for implementing related projects.

This trend is especially concerning for young people and organizations striving for inclusivity, as unchecked hate speech undermines efforts to foster understanding and acceptance across communities.

This diversity is evolving, especially following the recent refugee crisis, which highlights the need for inclusivity. Civil society and NGOs play a vital role in overcoming ignorance and stereotypes. We propose an international program to educate Youth Workers, empowering them to address these issues in their communities.

Social media plays a major role in young people’s lives today. Many youths are unaware of their vulnerability, and this tool can easily become a platform for cyberbullying. Cyberbullying, which includes bullying and harassment online, is pervasive, anonymous, and relentless. Recognizing these dangers, our project will bring together youth, youth workers, and educators for an international training to address and combat this issue.

Through a Berlin training, 36 participants will gain skills to combat xenophobia, promote inclusion, and foster cultural understanding. Outcomes include a resource brochure and best practices to support Erasmus+ youth engagement.
